Games gone, ball sliding on perfectly. Makes hacks look like world beaters. Would struggle to defend 200 on it now, there's no margin for the bowlers and the batsmen didn't score enough. Colly's decision to bat first was a big mistake in hindsight.

Back to the County Championship then.

Wakely has been superb. Captained brilliantly twice and coming in at 15-3 and 9-3 and plays two great knocks. Suicide run out now though. Is that the twist ?

I like to see Scaly annoyed, but honestly how many people would care if Northants didn't exist tomorrow.

Anyway, anyone know where I can watch the Women's T-20 final?

All going wrong at Notts. Broad maybe injured for the season. Blow for Nottinghamshire as Stuart Broad could miss the rest of the season due to ankle injury | Nottingham Post
Ball called upto the ODI squad for cover probably misses this match even if Willey injury isn't serious. Playing Yorkshire tomorrow as well.

Greg Smith was retweeted all sorts on Saturday night after not being selected for the T20. Calling Newell a **** and complaining about Hales and Broad being selected. All deleted now, not surprisingly. Think he's out of contract at the end of the season so I would think he's gone. Dunno quite what he expected when he left Leicestershire for a stacked Notts batting lineup.

Love that Somerset are producing these wickets to prepare England for Mumbai and such. Turning big from the first session there, like the previous game. Somerset could win the championship if they keep winning at home.

Hampshire got pretty screwed. Dawson being away this week carrying drinks with England whilst he could have been racking up wickets at Taunton. They also got Vince back to play pitch perfect forward defences whilst missing the ball by a foot- spose he can chalk it up as a positive for not being out driving.

Be interesting to see how Crane does on this wicket. Leach and VDM figures are impressive but they have to be put into some kind of context. For a number of games this season it seems like it's been turning considerably and with bounce from the first session - which is unlike anywhere else in the country. Batty took 7-32 in 9 overs- and for the Borthwick can bowl a bit in India brigade he bowled 3 overs for 26 at Taunton in a game where Somerset spinners took 17 of the 20 wickets.

There are good days, and bad days, and days where Steven Mullaney knocks over your top six and welp it's time to go jump off a bridge

Hodd stranded on 96 not out after pulling Yorkshire off the wreckage. Sad as he's unlikely to get that close to a ton again

One of the novelties of this season is trying to guess which journeyman bowler is going to appear in the Hampshire side each week. Carter certainly worked out last week so maybe Wainwright will this, but unless he is injured then it is a real shame they did not just give Brad Taylor a game, obviously they are desperate to stay up but putting trust in the young players has worked pretty well the last few weeks.
