*Official* Bangladesh in West Indies

Tbf, Miller has been a much better bowler at domestic level than Austin. Austin took 9 in the warmup fixture, and has leapfrogged him based on that alone.
Yeah, I would've picked Miller ahead of Austin myself, but comparing the spinners clearly wasn't the point of my post. :p

I know, but I just felt Miller needed a bit of support. The cheque's in the mail, I've heard.

On another note, Tino Best is actually bowling well. I mean, it's happened before, but surely this can't last much longer.

Oh right! There's a match on! Mother****ing cricket board. I am not watching this bs. I might as well walk down the street and watch some kids play cricket.
Why? Because there are no Trinis in this team?
It's good to see Best getting some wickets....

Best and Bernard could be nudging the selectors a bit here.

IMO Bangladesh would be doing a lot better right now if our first XI was playing. Such is the carelessness. It's quite obvious that these guys are giving it their all, which is not at all surprising, considering the situation.

Do you think Bangladesh just lower their game accordingly so they can't possibly win?

Nope. Cause it's a **** team and an uninteresting series. That's why.
On the contrary, I find this an interesting series, because it shows that the cupboard is not as bare as once thought....

Six wickets in a session. Excellent show by the bowlers, Best and Bernard in particular!

Is anyone watching this match on television? I'd be interested in what speeds Best and Roach are bowling. I'm not surprised Sammy and Bernard have three wickets between them. Sammy looks to get a fair bit of seam movement when in his stride and Bernard looks a good bowler (good action, good lines, etc), to me, despite a mediocre FC record.

Lack of effort is part of it, so is being bad at cricket. There's definitely a shortage of spirit in the Bangladesh side IMO, and hopefully replacing the captain will help sort it out.

This Test should represent a great opportunity for Bangladesh to capture a Test victory, now I understand it can at times take some of the glamour away when the opposition are missing the whole of their side, but carelessness should not be creeping into a professional outfit. It is understandable at times when they play better sides they raise their own game, but when an opportunity arises to win a Test match, when they have been so few and far between, they can ill afford to let it slip with concentration lapses.

If they want to be classed and recognised as a full Test nation, they should be drilling this West Indies side into the ground. The worrying thing for me, in terms of Bangladesh as a side, is that I don't think the side they have out has enough quality to make a mockery of the West Indies problems. Now that is truly worrying for a Test nation up against someone's 3rd/4th team.

Roach was hitting around 89 mph on some deliveries, didn't notice Tino's speeds though.

Bernard really didn't do much except for that bouncer, but Roach and Best bowled brilliantly!

Roach seems a great prospect for the future! He's just 21, if I'm not mistaken!

This is laughable from the Bangla Boys.

Shame the Windies haven't got one or two ringers in their squad (a Morton, Joseph even a Marshall), as their batting looks rancid and short (just four 'real' batsman + keeper).
That is what I'm worried about....

The batting does look as if it's missing a couple of specialist batsmen.

I've had enough of this crap from the board. It's sickening. Incompetence to the highest.

And some of the other promising cricketers are missing out because of the feud.

It is a shame, but Barath will get several other opportunities. You can be sure of that. If there had to be a player strike, and given the relationship between the two parties, it was inevitable, I'm happy it's against Bangladesh in the rainy season.

And let's drop the crap about the board alone being at fault.

Best looked good. When the big boys return (hopefully they dont make a IPL exodus), he should be 4th in the WI pecking order behind Taylor/Edwards/Rampaul.
