Not sure how that batting unit will cope with the Indian spinners to be honest, and though India have been in a poor spell of late they only really lost the england test series because England had the better spinners, in this series Australia don't have that luxury, so lord knows how things will pan out.

Could tell that before the game from picking the 3 spinners to play in this game. As you say about the test they will only go with Lyon and use Clarke as back up if he is fit enough. Might be making the same mistake we did in the first test of our series over there by going with tried and tested but it is fair to say that Panesar is better than any back up you guys have and we were able to change it with some quality. Just hope the pitch isn't like the one we had for the last test over there, that was crap.

Indeed, and either of Pattinson or Bird is better than the third quick you guys would have picked for that test. There no point picking two spinners because two spinners. Stupid IMO.

Seeing as we dopily picked Broad and Bresnan who were both unfit it isn't hard to have better pacemen than we picked. I think even a Bangladesh one would have been more use than those two were.

Remember the old definition of an allrounder? Well to qualify for that role in Oz cricket now means you can't justify your position in the side as a batsman or a bowler.
Expect Moises to be in the test. Then God help us.

You have too many Dohertys in the team. I suspect we'll play 5 bats with possibly Cowan missing out for Watto. Expect to see a bits and pieces player make a Cameron White like hash at 7.
