It is because if he makes double figures at all in this series I will be very surprised. He has to be the worst batsman ever selected for an Australian A side. Jaques is really the only true quality batsman in the squad.
Not even Hussey?

Or Watson, or Hodge?
Hodge has been far too inconsistent, 1000 runs one season, 300 the next. Hussey has yet to dominate in Australia and Watson is a good batsman, but yet to reach the quality of Jacques.

You could argue that Jaques has yet to prove that his only had one good season in Australia and yet to truely prove himself.

You're wrong about Watson. He bowls first change in one dayers for Qld and is usually 2nd change for the Pura Cup.
you sure about that with the pura cup kyle, i remember at lot of times him bowling 3rd & 4th change for queensland last season...

Yeah, positive. Definitely 1st change in the ING usually bowling 10 straight. Dawes, Bichel, Watson, Noffke/Johnson was the bowling order for the Pura Cup, followed by Symonds & Hopes, and a spinner if they played one.

You just have to look at Jaques bat and know he is a class above the others selected. And his 93* proves that when the others struggled to get to double figures, kind of says a lot doesn't it?

Great to see Bracks doing well. It`s the September 12 in him. =P

Sami bowls Bracken and Bracken returns the favour  And his wickets were Malik and Butt too.

Great stuff by Jaques and Lewis as well.

Pakistan home by 7 wickets in the end, win in three days in a rain effected match.

Interesting result. As expected I guess, because it's early season in Pakistan, the wickets are likely to be underdone and helpful for the seamers, and it usually swings in Pakistan anyway, so you'd expect it was extremely difficult batting conditions the whole way through. Promising performances for Australia from Jaques, Bracken and Watson (with the ball), and surprisingly Cameron White also did quite well. Poor effort from everyone else.

Interesting...Watson with 4 wickets, Cullen going for 57 without a wicket. White bowling well to get 3 wickets in the 2nd innings.
