We went at 2.8 in our innings, whereas England went at a crazy 5.37.

If we can score at 3.5, bat for 100 overs (hopefully more) and that will give England a chase of 320 (just a bit more security than tests 1 & 2). Hopefully lightning can't strike a 3rd time with their run chases.
Don't think we can score at 3.5 definitely not in the kind of form Latham and Kane are in. They'll take a lot of time to settle in knowing a loose shot and a wicket will sink them further.

Rest of them can score at a good clip but not like Bairstow. Maybe Devon Conway can.

England again scoring at a very brisk rate after being 6 down for not much and looking at conceding a big lead. A consistent pattern throughout the series.
Definite baz effect there.

Latham looking good so far. Everything coming off the middle of the bat. Got to make good use of this.

Such a great series win. Butcher was right too, that side didn't get the respect they deserved. I remember the Wisden editor at the time Matthew Engel wrote they were the most boring team in world cricket before the series. It was so satisfying to see Cairns, Astle, Nash and Vettori really step up.
yeah we briefly had a very good/promising bowling attack there in Nash, Cairns and Doull before injury wrecked them all

I've made excuses a bit for Young as 'not an opener' but that's still horribly loose and not good enough.
No doubt top quality player but not necessarily an opener. Has no other choice but to open. No spots available in the middle order now with Mitchell set at no 5 for a year at least.
