What a game from Tommy Dearden
he could have tried something other than turning it inside to a flat foward all night tbf but yeah he was not the only player on whom you can side eyeIt is horrendously unfair because Cleary had nothing to do with the loss tonight.
NSW looked good for the first 3 minutes tonight. Then it all went south.he could have tried something other than turning it inside to a flat foward all night tbf but yeah he was not the only player on whom you can side eye
Which pass are we taking about? That may be the game that kills what was left of me caring about league.
It's been a hundred years, how the **** can we not figure out what a forward pass is?
Not blaming the refs, QLD were obviously the better side, and Dearden was phenomenal.
But the frustration that comes from watching games just so far outweighs the enjoyment now, and if feels like the majority of games the talking point afterwards is how much the ref ****ed up.
I feel like I'm becoming the cranky old man waffling about "back in my day", but they're making a worse and worse product when it should be getting better and better.
(Definitely not swayed by the horrible year for my club and state)
Ahhh, yeah. I thought it was suspect at first too, but in the end wasn't completely sure if it was forward or lineball.First qld try
League is getting harder to like at club level but I think I'm over origin now. Over the years the calls have favoured Qld. NSW should've won at Perth and this game wouldn't have mattered. The Klein referring performance in game 2 has grown from impacting the last game to deciding the whole series. I wonder what club coaches make of it? I mean Ivan Cleary provides the core of his side for origin and then watches Klein turn them into punching bags for Qld. Surely affected clubs are going to protest the cost of origin as being too great for their own season. That may be the game that kills what was left of me caring about league.

Broadcast deal says the clubs will do what they're told and like it.Surely affected clubs are going to protest the cost of origin as being too great for their own season.
You have to be extremely biased to think that refs have overwhelmingly favoured one team over another in recent yearsLeague is getting harder to like at club level but I think I'm over origin now. It was nauseating seeing Tino saying they were motivated for game 2 because they were mad at the press calling Slater a grub. For a start he is a grub and secondly Qld won because Klein basically gave them all the ball. The entire series is maddening and I'm left thinking what I gave up last night to watch this low energy farce from the Blues. I won't be watching next year. Origin isn't good enough anymore to shelve other plans for it.
While Gomersall is the pinnacle example the bias has become less obvious but real all the same and it's not bias to point it out. I won't pick over every crucial decision. The 2nd game of this series can stand as an example of what I mean. You have to be extremely biased to think that refs have overwhelmingly favoured one team over another in recent years
For every match where Queensland is favoured, there’s another where NSW gets the rub of the green
The days of Gomersall are long gone
