Last Man Standing: England vs India

Somerset

Cricketer Of The Year
Yes and Yes.

I've edited the topic title to indicate a new round to help get a few extras before the start of play.

2. Will an Indian opener surpass Strauss' 40?
As much as Dravid doesn't like opening, he still seems to get a fair few runs doing so. It's a yes.

Questions for day 4:

3. Will Swann complete a five-for?

4. Will India better their previous score of 244 in this innings?

Eyes not spreadsheets
Going to claim a moral victory if Gambhir a) bats and fails or b) sees it's doing a bit and decides he's not fit enough to bat.

Suspect b is more likely.

Congrats to Somerset, as Swanny has to make do with three.

Assuming we're likely to get plenty of play tomorrow, I plan on doing a "champion of champions" speed round. So only those to have won a round will enter, and there will be two normal questions, plus a tie-breaker.

Those to have won:

grecian
GI Joe
Spark

NEW ROUND: 4th Test, Day 5

Champion of Champions round!

A quick effort for the last day. Hoping to get all 5 posters to play, so I'll leave VMs. Having won twice, GI Joe will get a bye, and does not have to answer question 1.

Questions:

1. Will India pass 150 before the 4th wicket falls?

2. Will Broad take more wickets than Bresnan?

3. Tie-breaker: How many runs will be scored in total on day 5?

Well, a flurry of yesses thanks to the Sachin-Mishra effort this morning, followed by Broad's matchwinning over. It's down to the tie breaker.

As it happened, Spark must feel robbed by that abject collapse. 7 wickets falling for 21 means only 154 were scored in the day, and GI Joe walks away with the title.

Gah, I was well in with a shout. A few more overs and runs would have started to count double.

Well done GI Joe. Flying the flag for the increasingly endangered species that is the Indian poster .
