Seriously, the Indian selectors need their heads examined if they play Praveen. He'll be absolute fodder.

I don't wanna come across all Kevin Keegan, but I would love it if India play him. Love it.

It would seem that way, but he got some pretty good batsmen out.
Adrian Barath (2)
Darren Bravo (2)
Brendon Nash
Shiv Chanderpaul
Lendl Simmons
Ramnaresh Sarwan
Marlon Samuels
Kieran Powell (2)
Carlton Baugh

These are all top order batsmen. His statistics are not boosted by mopping up the tail, though he'd probably struggle with that, tbh, but that is beside the point. Bravo, Chanderpaul and Baugh in the series played extremely qwell and only Powell could be considered as well below Test standard.

When the ball swings and the conditions favor him ,Praveen can trouble anybody.

Even troubled the Likes of Ponting ,Gilchrist etc.. with a white ball in Australia. And has troubled plenty of batsman in ODI's and even the likes of Sachin in the IPL early on and he is even more useful with the red ball, though batsman become more defensive.

Entirely different kettle of fish when you're looking to score runs and score them quickly, rather than just see off the new ball.

Wonder if Roger Binny could be a template for Praveen Kumar. Binny, of course, also a medium pacer whose only weapon might have been swing (& smarts) did quite well both the times he played in England: highest wicket taker in the 1983 WC and in the 3 test series in 1986: 12 wickets at an average of 21 and SR of 44.

The latter was only one series, but we'd be happy with just this one series from Praveen too going similarly. The Eng batting line up in that series reads Gooch, Gower, Gatting & Lamb, does not sound like chopped liver - well except the last one perhaps.

p.s. Voted, very reluctantly, for Sree. He is not a better bowler or a saner person than 4 years ago.

Zaheer and Ishant and Sreesanth are the greatest pace trio to play cricket, ever. They will dominate, then Habhajan to r\wrap up low order..

India to win this eeeeaaaassssyyyyyy

Marshall, Garner and Holding say hi. As do McGrath, Clark and Lee. And Lillee, Thomson and Walker. Not to mention Lindwall, Miller and Davidson.

I'd play him tbh. It's going to be draw at lords anyway but tbh I think he'd do well.

Clark and Lee were both at least as good as Walker.

As a combination they were pretty handy. Would've loved to see McGrath, Gillespie and Clark at/ near their best but it never happened.
