GROUP B - Australia, England, Zimbabwe

Odd how this twenty20 specialist side is relying on the stars in every format. Flintoff unlucky with the ball here. Growing fonder of Mascarenhas everytime I see him.

I think commentators should be fined every time they refer to Hayden as 'bullying' - lazy journalistic clicheing at it worst.

Great, isn't it?

What a buffoon Pietersen is - saying he's going to dominate Australia - like they needed ammo for this game.

Still, after the embarrasment of the other day, it looks like they'll avoid the ultimate indignity - losing to England.
couldnt have said it better

Only England could have changed this into 'ooh we've made it past the 9.3 over mark so we're still in, whoopie' when it was a free chance to knock Australia out.

She isn't too bad I didn't think, one of the better female commentators going around.
She has obviously researched the game a fair amount but she really lost me when commentating some of the other matches and having no idea who the players were (Pakistan v Scotland) just gave the television audience the impression that she isn't as familiar with the game as you would want a commentator to be.

Thats true but the competetion isn't great.

Actually looking at some of the Indian (male) commentators she isnt that bad :)

Will Englands lack of pressure cost every other team.

I'm afraid it may, this doesn't even look like a struggle for Oz, England doesn't look like they know what to do here.

England are resigned to losing this game, but they know they're through, so there's no pressure. If Zimbabwe had made a better fist of it yesterday it would have been a different story.

England seem to still think they're in England at Old Trafford against the likes of Ganguly and Tendulkar. Broad's still busy bowling short, short and short some more against one of the best back foot players in cricket (Ponting) on a pudding of a pitch. Anderson was doing the same in the first game. They can't adapt to slow pitches at all, they were abysmal in the World Cup and they're abysmal here. The problem is they'll play on this pitch once more in the next group stage.

Aside of course for the wonderful bowling machine named Andrew Flintoff.
