Longer tail than I'd like with Voce at #8, but Haddin at seven is nice.

Bruce Reid was in the 20th XI (he was one of my first thoughts as well) but astonishing that no-one has picked Jayasuriya before. Batsmen easier to come by I think.

Edited. Step forward John Wright, Jim Parks, Younis Khan, Sarfraz Nawaz and Terry Alderman.

Still some bloody excellent players out there. Eye-opening exercise, this.

Eye-opening for sure, some greats have certainly slipped through the cracks (looking at NUFAN here) :p

Funny, I don't remember Chappell and Laxman playing for Lancashire ... but both did! When did Chappell senior do so? In the 1960s I'd guess.

No dupes as far as I can see, but I'd have thought someone from Worcs would have picked a man who scored 136 first-class 100s ...

NUFAN

Y no Afghanistan flag
Meh I wanted bowlers who could bat better anyway.

But honestly I think McGrath is very easily a bowler to forget unless you pair him up with Warne. This exercise was always going to be easy to forget players though, given how quickly we were naming teams. If someone was given like a day to produce the best team available, we'd have more accurate teams, still fun though.

BTW is that slowfinger team for real and I can't believe Tamim Iqbal made the 24th team and Fidel Edwards is in Stumpski's last team.
