Cricketers who are really nice

No love for Fanie De villiers? Will always remember his antics on and off the field as well as taking time off to travel and meet people when touring. Apparently he used to play cricket with the street kids whilst visiting another country.

Also Dave Richardson, but completely biased with that. As a kid, we went down on holiday to the coast and ended up playing beach cricket with some other guys. Turns out they were Dave Richardson sons and he ended up running an impromptu wicket keeping course for 2 days for anyone on the beach who wanted to join.

A lot of Saffers from the previous generation seem really good blokes too; Barry Richards, Mike Proctor & Vince van der Bijl all come across as genuinely good eggs. The latter especially was impressively philosophical in a interview I saw, what with having been denied a test career at all, realising some things matter more than cricket.

Nuwan Kulasekera, Dan Vettori- two that spring to my mind.. simple guys would find it difficult to hate them
