If they got you to not watch the fight then they did their job IMO.

That was awful. Okolie is just not very good. That jab and grab would have embarrassed even Wlad. Dude has nothing going for him other than his physical attributes. Should have been disqualified.
The frustrating thing about him is that if he actually had a basic stiff jab, he’d be pretty good due to those same physical attributes

A guy like Bright, while gutsy, wouldn’t touch him if he had a left in his face all night

In other news Benevidez is srs bsnss
Yep

Wouldn’t mind seeing him have a fight or 2 more before Canelo as he’s improving rapidly and it won’t hurt his chances if Canelo cops another beating from Bivol in the meantime

Yeah pretty dull stuff that from Joshua, not sure where he goes from here, he may knock out Whyte next , but Joyce, Wilder and Fury beat him easily.

Disagree to be honest.

This was a 10 rounds to 2 win against a decent fringe contender.

There are plenty of decent fringe contenders like Kabayel, Otto Wallin, Frank Sanchez etc who will give the top guys a tricky night's work.

I think Franklin is a durable guy who has pretty decent boxing skills and a good chin.

Yes AJ needed to put more combinations together but hard to do with Franklin who is quite q quick counter puncher a bit like Ruiz but without the power.

Joshua is a top 5 heavyweight

Another fight against Usyk is pointless

Probably freezes against Fury but will be interesting if he doesn’t

Can see him beating Wilder

No chance against Joyce

Wow, Joyce absolutely battered. Their might be a rematch but it won't be for a long time and be brave man to bet Joyce in any rematch.

Only downside for Zhang is he won't get a money fight with the big boys now because they won't want the risk.

Even best case scenario Joyce wins in a rematch, Wilder, Joshua Fury and Usyk would beat big Joe.

Zhang takes Joyce's mandatory so yes he will have a money fight.

Zhang was always a horrible matchup for Joyce. I credit Joyce for taking the fight, but if you're his management you'd have to question why you'd take this matchup when you're sitting in the mandatory position.

Southpaw so harder to land the jab. One of the hardest punchers in the division against a guy who is not hard to hit. A guy who's big enough not to get bullied. It's just a very difficult fight for someone like Joyce.

I think Tyson Fury would actually fancy taking on Zhang. Would be a relatively easy fight for him.

I think Joyce would beat Fury based on styles. Fury can't keep up with that output, and Joyce does actually have fast feet even if he has slow hands.

Even Usyk would have a very tough time keeping up with that output, and doesn't have the power to keep Joyce off him.

Joshua and Wilder do have the power so those would be interesting fights.

Anyway I think Joyce is an absolute credit to the sport for taking such a dangerous fight when he's in the mandatory position.

Need to see fighters taking these fights more regularly.

fair on all those points, Zhang was 7.0 or so with the bookies before it started was loading up on 365 when he was still 3.75 just as the doctor stopped and did not get on

It’s ridiculous some of the guys fans have beating Joshua now. If AJ boxes as competently as he did against Usyk for 4 or 5 rounds against Zhang, he proceeds to knock Zhang out while an exhausted Zhang is in the midst of having a heart attack. He probably smacks the **** out of Joyce too, the variable there is how does Joshua’s power compare to Zhang’s. There’s always a possibility of Joyce walking down Joshua in the second half of the fight, but imo a bigger chance that Joshua does what Zhang just did but better.

Yeah I don't get it.

Jermaine Franklin is harder to hit than Joe Joyce. Joseph Parker is harder to hit than Joe Joyce. Neither of those guys stood in front of AJ. if Joyce did the same thing AJ would KO him.

Really, style make fights.
