Possible 8 year ban for Whyte as it's his 2nd offence, and rightly so, no matter what excuse he brings out. He should go the Jon Jones route and claim the drug he took last time is just "pulsing".

It's entirely that person's fault if they ingest an OTC supplement that contains a banned substance. And given that Whyte has already used that excuse previously, it is entirely implausible.
In any case, the drug being reported is Dianabol - a steroid. It is extremely unlikely to be found in OTC supplements.
Finally, there is only one OTC supplement proven to be useful for performance - creatine. Everything else is just marketing.

Substances containing Dianabol can be bought online as well as over the counter. I'm not defending Whyte. He should be finished if the B sample is positive irrespective of how it entered his system. I'm just saying it's possible he hasn't deliberately cheated and the positive test needs to be confirmed before final judgement is passed.

He's a professional athlete. He needs to be more stringent with his supplementation, especially when he's already been caught in the past. Absolutely no excuse.
Also, the chance of the 'B' sample coming back negative is so slim. The only reason it would is if there was human error when testing the first one. The B sample isn't a 2nd sample, the original sample is split in two and tested twice independently, with B tested if A shows a positive result for a prohibited substance. If A comes out positive, chances are B will as well.

Just thought about this again.
Massive qualitative difference between a sport like shot put where a) it's measurable (i.e. the longest shot wins) and b) your performance doesn't directly effect your opposition's (i.e. you're not getting punched in the face and c) there is virtually zero chance of literally dying.
If it's shown that Matchroom/Sky sports knew about the positive test before the fight we need to start sending these people to jail.
That goes for the sanctioning bodies too.

Not sure why we need to send broadcasters to prison. It does appear that the powers that be didn’t tell Whyte’s opponent about the failed drug test. That’s certainly wrong.
Whyte was supposed to be making a statement yesterday but said only that he couldn’t talk about it because it was in the hands of his lawyers. It’s hard to see what defence he has legally unless he’s claiming the test result was flawed or his drink was spiked.

Their fighter tested positive for PEDs before the fight and they didn't cancel the fight nor even inform the opposition.
It's grossly negligent.

Hard to see who the next opponent for Loma will be now. As bob said he'll fight anyone from 125-135 but no one wants that smoke. Mikey probably can't make 135 anymore even if he wanted to, and no way is Floyd putting Gervonta I'm there with him, although I actually think Gervonta has as much of a chance as anyone else.

Interesting end to the Martinez/Edwards fight. Edwards under immense pressure and goes down on one knee and takes one in the ribs that cripples him. Martinez declared the winner and then some high up bod from the WBC sees a replay and declares it a no contest. Instant VAR in boxing.

Wallin looks much better than I assumed before the fight. Moves pretty well, crafty southpaw.
That cut was really bad. Had Fury not been the house fighter reckon most refs/physicians would've stopped that fight.
Tyson got away with a lot of leaning and wrestling, Klitschko-esque at times. Was pretty bad.
