Grimmett is mysteriously overrated by this board, especially considering the era in which he played and the average age of our members. This really should be a closer contest, so Mustaq it is.
To be fair Grimett had to play in the shadow of Bill O'Reilly for a fair bit of his career and he was ranked #17 of all time test bowlers which is a fair acheivement considering the great bowlers there have been. 216 wickets in 37 tests is a pretty good acheivement with a very good average of 24.22.

Compare his career to Shane Warne, who after 37 matches had 170 wickets at an average of 23.94 and to Muttiah Muralitharan who after 37 matches had 160 wickets at an average of 29.44.

I don't think he's that overrated really, he was playing alongside a very good spinner in Bill O'Reilly for most of his career and still had very good figures.

Grimmett goes through

Round One: Battle 3

Iqbal Qasim
50 Tests, 171 wkts @ 28.11, 8 5-fers, 2 10-fers, 76.13 SR, 2.21 ER

Mushtaq Mohammad
57 Tests, 79 wkts @ 29.22, 3 5-fers, 66.58 SR, 2.63 ER

Sonny Ramadhin
43 Tests, 158 wkts @ 28.98, 10 5-fers, 1 10-fer, 88.22 SR, 1.97 ER

This battle has the pontential to be very close, one of Pakistan great spin bowlers, maybe even the best they produced, up against one Windies all time greats. With one of the best spin bowling all rounders, added to the mix. Should be intersting to see who people vote for.

International Vice-Captain
Iqbal Qasim. It seems like Ramadhin is preferred for the whole aura of Ramadhin and Valentine as opposed to what he actually achieved. Not to say he didn't achieve much, but without having seen either bowl, both Qasim and Ramadhin have very similar records - Iqbal's is slightly better.
