International Regular
Just wondering. This young man...
Is RAHKEEM CORNWALL and he is very much on the verge of earning a West Indies call-up. He's an off-spinner who has actually been in incredible form recently. He took a 5fer against India in a recent warm-up game, took an 8fer for the WI A-team when they toured Sri-lanka just weeks ago and he dominated the wickets tally in a three match series. He's also taken several other 5fers which as culminated in him taking over sixty wickets this calander year. He's very much the best off-spinner in the region right now and what makes him dangerous is he's can spin the ball, gets good bounce with his height and bowls a consistent length that tests the patience of the batsmen. Can flight it too aswell.
But not only is he a good spinner but he's a very destructive lower order batman when he's in the mood. Hits it a mile and is quite good with his hands in the slips.
So the question is have other overweight cricketers been able to make the grade and prosper? I know Beefy had weight on him but that was after he made the big time and was already top class at international level. Ryder aswell had a few pounds on him aswell as Warne perhaps? But yeah some of our fans are reluctent about Cornwall because of his weight but the numbers he's been putting up cannot be questioned. He's also got a personal trainer now by all accounts and is trying to lose weight (tbf he has lost some weight as he was much bigger before)
