I`m sure the good people at BT would see through those minor flaws in order to create some healthy competition... :p

Rodgie, why did you choose England?

I was a ****** because my brother was playing Club Cricket for an Essex Teams as their Overseas Pro at the time so I though I would be cool lol!

Whoa! Did that just happen to anyone else? My game just finished itself, jumping from the 15th over to the very end

Anyway, was an easy win in the end

The Good Warriors 71 (34.4)
Norris 4/23 (7.4), Canning 3/9 (10), Fernando 2/12 (5)

Magical Ponies 0/72 (7.3)
Kilkenny 44* (29), Griffin 26* (17)

Magical Ponies The Good Warriors
Top Order: proficient worthless
Middle Order: competent abysmal
Lower Order: abysmal feeble
Seam Bowling: proficient worthless
Spin Bowling: respectable abysmal
Fielding: abysmal feeble
MOTM: Kilkenny

First time I've got a decent middle order rating with the proficient top order.

I quite obviously threw my game. I even bought a crappy player or two off the market for 1k each. Got some solid ratings.

If you have a solid chance of staying up go for the win, if your just going to get smashed every game in your new league throw it.

Cheers I think.

I have a solid chance of staying up - probably finish mid-table again - just wasn't sure if I would do better dropping down to come back up again, get the crowds in and therefore the cash.

Think I'll stay up.

Yeah stay up. I threw mine two seasons ago, mainly cause I knew I wouldn't be able to win more than two games in the league. But this time, I know that I can actually stay in my league, compete, and hopefully finish in the top 4, so I GFIed my match and went for the win. And besides, it's more of a challenge, whereas, at least with me, I'd probably get bored with seeing Canning taking 8/5 every week against new teams.

I too have my own dilema. Either to throw my game or try to win it.

I won 5 matches this season and finished in 6th, two of the teams (both of whom i got the double against) both came from Div. 4, and were both very easy beats on PAN or TIE. The other win was against the team that finished 5th but were unaware of how good my team was, they played TIE i played GFI. I will have no chance of going through to Div. 2 if i stay in this Div.

If i choose to demote, i can win more games, which keeps me interested in Battrick. and i should gain prize money.

I think i'll drop down.

Would anyone with good knowledge of stuff have a look and offer their opinion?

Anyone in England got a close playoff today?
Mine will probably be massively high-scoring and close. Hard and fast pitch, they've got masterful top order and sod all else. They'll collapse rather nicely as long as I nick one/two wickets in the first 40.

I probably should have opened with Armstrong & Wheat in hindsight...

I'm starting to wish I'd GFI'd my playoff against this bot team. I checked out their ratings and players, and figured they were rubbish so didn't really bother monkeying with my tactics. Now I go back and look, and they've actually got a moderately strong batting lineup; probably better than mine, except that they're all on worthless form. They're scoring like grannies batting in treacle at the moment, but one of my bowlers always gets knackered and starts leaking runs (yep, there go 7 from an over just as I type that).

I'll be embarrassed if I manage to lose this. I still don't think I will, but I've got no wickets in the first 10 overs, which wasn't part of the plan. Sigh.

You've got nothing to worry about. You'll chase down anything under 350 against that lot.

Oh and forget what I said about Armstrong & Wheat opening... Packer just reached his 50 off 36 balls.

Can't believe how much Packer is hammering this lot.

End of Over 15: 121-0, runrate=8.07
Freeman 1-0-13-0
Packer* 70 (47 balls)
Wheat 49 (43 balls)

Hopefully get over 350 and make them collapse. I knew as soon as I hit 8 there'd be a quiet over...
