The Wheel is Forever
India has developed some proper resolve in its cricket. Started under Kohli and Shastri. They keep coming at you even when they’re down on troops and matches or series seem lost. I think that’s what made the home loss to NZ so weird - they just rolled over, and for the last 8-10 years that’s just not something they’ve done really
Yes, this is the biggest thing I’m taking away. It’s something Indian sides of the past have lacked.

Credit to NZ actually even though India just went through the motions in that series for whatever reason. NZ was really the last team to be considered worthy of winning a test series in India, the fact that they achieved it speaks a lot about the change in their mindset.

To be honest India looked flat at various points in the Brooks/Root partership. They they got a couple of wickets and fought like tigers to get the win.

Fault cant lie with them surely. 4 wickets each. done their job taking wickets, they had leeway of a big total to defend. Issue is Akash Deep- he surely will be binned for a long time, completely useless player, cant field either, hes the opening bowler as well and is completely poor.
Sorry it was a joke. There was a thread on here about bowlers conceding 100+ and how terrible it is. I think they both did very well.

it's hard to blame Siraj for the catch tbh. You can only take that catch using the Australian fingers-up technique. All boundary riders should be familiar in how to do that but clearly Siraj hasn't been taught, so it's hard to fault him. He took the catch the only way he knew how to

Akash Deep's catch was inexcusable though
speaking from my extensive club captaincy experience it ***** me whenever my guys on the boundary get happy feet and creep in but by the same token it's on captain to make sure his fielders stay on the spot between balls and aren't creeping up, just as much as it is the fielder, tbf!

Nah you gotta expect a basic level of competence.

I think Akash was on the boundary to begin with but took a few steps in because he didn’t judge it well. Then realising it was going to his right he sort of ran in a straight line instead of hugging the boundary rope. Just very poor judgement and awareness.
