    Your favourite ICC prospective nation?

Even if they become as good as NZ .. it's two more ODI countries right? NZ are capable of beating anyone in the world on their day in ODIs... I'm sure there is nothing wrong with two more competitive ODI nations which I believe they have potential to achieve...

    Your favourite ICC prospective nation?

Mine are probably the European associates (Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands) because they have a decent shot at becoming respectable ODI nations within a few years.. and also Afghanistan because they are going to be biggg in 10-15 years! I don't think many people would mess with an Afghani...

All that said and done its still a step in the right direction. And it will make a huge impact for tournaments like the ICC Trophy which will essentially decided a country's future for the next 4 years.. A late announcement, but definitely a step in the right direction..

    ***Official*** Sri Lanka in England

Jason, I definitely wouldn't rule out the West Indies - they just beat India 4-1 and are a really talented side capable of great ODI cricket, especially at home..

Official Sri Lanka in Netherlands thread

The simple reason from what I can see is an allegiance with Cricket Europe.. Cricket Europe has done a LOT for promoting the sport in Netherlands and actually give daily scores of the domestic competitions in Netherlands along with comprehensive news coverage.. So they decided to let Cricket...

Kweek but I personally feel of all the associates the Dutch have the strongest batting and weakest bowling line-up especially with the absence of Schiferli.. I mean with your keeper coming it at number 10.. the Dutch bat deep! And players such as ten Doeschate, van Bunge, de Leede, Kervezee -...

I just hope that this game doesn't make the ICC rethink what they are doing with the associates - In my opinion, thats one of the only good things the ICC has done off late with the whole Development program and such games will only help associates grow.. And besides England fared rather...

Its really not so much of the Dutch fault.. And Xuhaib, SL would have probably crossed this target against England too had they been batting 1st in the last game.. Dutch off to a fairly good start too.. 50 in 6 overs.. Would it be too much to expect another Aus-SA game? :P

Haha you make a fair point Lostman.. but this is a great opportunity for the Dutch.. - However bad they do play, they probably will end up looking better than England! :)

Official Sri Lanka in Netherlands thread

Hey Kweek, as the only Dutch representative i can find on the forums I have a few questions for you, as in pertaining to your personal opinion:- 1) Do you honestly think Smits deserves his place in the team when it is rather clear that Buurman is a better batsman? 2) How committed is Kervezee...
