Happy for Steyn his worst figures didn't cost DC. Also, Deccan are not out of it.

Well left! And two balls later Smith pulls Steyn for four, the balls bounces 3 or 4 times, before rolling the last 15 meters to the boundary. And the commentator is wondering it is a six...... I've just managed to get used to Silly Moments of Succes that appear to be sponsored by a bank named...

What about Tremlett? If England would bowl Finn, Tremlett, Onions and Panesar, they'ld still have a decent attack. Obviously not like Anderson, Broad, Bresnan and Swann, but still. Typing that, makes me think about the batting quality of England's strongest bowlers!

That pull could have gone anywhere. And the 2nd 4, though brilliantly timed by Ganguly, might have been stopped by a slightly more athletic fielder.

As Steyn will take 2/20, PW will have to make 167 from 16 with 8 wickets. Make that 7 wickets in hand. Not gonna happen.

Running in, from my crap amateur cricket level point of view, is more about stability than about generating speed. Maybe that's the case with a veteran part-time bowler too?

Thanks for pointing out my post was really crappy  . Steyn simply is the best bowler around these days!

Bresnan ;) . I would give the #6 spot to a young promising batsman. Alex Hales & Ben Stokes come to mind. If it needs to be an all-rounder, it should be Chris Woakes. I can't see the point in Bopara.....

I don't really like to spoil the party, since I agree with you, but Steijn's outstanding economy might partly be the result of batsmen sitting him out while waiting for the crap bowlers to deliver their freebies.

Wow, quite an over by Steijn there!

I agree. I've seen him play twice and that's not something I'll easily forget. TBF, not only Gayle is a bit of a tool in real life. The WICB are too!

Deccan simply miss out on reasonable T20 batsmen......

I'm going to go to Lord's on day 1, day 2, day 3, and day 4 :) . I really, really hope the Windies make it a good contest!

Live commentary: you need both the bails dislodged (stumping). that's nonsense, right?

10000 up. And his average is now exactly 50! I just need to say this. I was there when he hit his 8000th run!

What's Punjab's strategy? Bowl as many full tosses as possible?

You'ld expect that SRT, with al his experience, would know there wasn't a 2nd run there....

Has Roach just had his "NZ" moment?

Just checked some facts. Since october 2010: Steyn has 61 wickets at 23,4 Jimmy has 70 wickets at 25,9 Roach has 32 at 27,9 (I had to include him in this thread) I think Steyn is slightly better than Anderson, but Jimmy isn't far off. IMHO the figures do justice this time :) .

Let's Talk About Cricket Grounds Better Than The Sydney Cricket Ground

Well, that's the ground I meant. I'd go there!
