Doug Marillier and Dion Ebrahim had been playing in NZ as far as I know. Where is Heath Streak!?

I'd rather watch a Wellington/Canterbury Twenty20 match than see Aftab Ahmed try 6 wild slogs and not get close to getting bat on ball.

Jimmy, keen to have a chat with you for Radio Sport next week. I'll go through Paul first cause Auckland Cricket sent me a page on media protocol..don't wanna disturb the peace now.

    Current NZL batting potential

From what we've seen in the ODI's, yes..this NZ batting lineup looks the goods as they're all very young but there's still a lot of hard work to be done in the tests.

Guptill was doing well at 3, Taylor had found some consistency at 4...to swap them now just confuses me. I'm also disappointed they abandoned playing Mills above Vettori because as we saw the other night, he isn't half bad when he gets going.

281 is the target. Good effort from NZ considering where they were placed 3/4 of the way through the innings.

"Official" England A vs New Zealand A in New Zealand

The biggest joke is playing Luke Woodcock as the primary spinner!..wasn't Bruce Martin in the squad for this match? He's about as good with the bat as Woodcock is anyway.

The selectors have clearly made the call with the World Cup in mind....has Styris indicated he wants to be around then? he has muttered it yes, but maybe they aren't convinced by his desire at the moment.

Well...it's a shame rain ruined the contest but Otago are declared the winners after finishing top of the table. I think the Otago side won't disgrace themselves if they qualify for the Champions League....Dimitri Mascarenhas, Brendon and Nathan McCullum, Neil Broom and Ian Butler to name a few.

Yeah at 6.10, a 10 over game would take place (if possible). I think 4.30 is the cut off to play a full 40 over game.

Well, considering how awful the drainage was at University Oval for the Black Caps/West Indies test, it's not looking positive. The word is, the earliest it will start is 4.30 with the latest being 6.10

Nope, Otago will have the McCullum brothers, Neil Broom and Ian Butler back for the match. If Otago don't win, i'd be very surprised. Let's face it, if NZ are allowed a side in to the Champions League..Canterbury wouldn't be able to take Shane Bond and he's pretty much the main reason they've...

I noticed Barrington Rowland has been playing for Auckland 'A' recently...there seems to be a number of overseas players floating around club cricket around the country at the moment.
