4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

These are pretty much unplayable conditions right now. Someone like Boland would have had all 10.
All went downhill for him in England after the WTC final.

His record after that in 5 innings in England in FC cricket is 60-5-285-2

Might never play here again.

England have had a lot of spells this series where they've gone past the outside edge a lot more than they've found it. I reckon they've not been full or straight enough during the best periods for bowling. Except for the second innings at Lord's when they did a much better job of bringing the stumps into play.
Broad and Anderson did that quite often too.Gets ooss and ahhs but it's not dangerous

And Bumrah's frankly a terrifying prospect. India may already have enough for a handy first innings lead.

Has been spotted with his pads on? For a moment you had me thinking we'd taken a wicket.
Per Stefan Shemilt on TMS:
"Rishabh Pant will not be performing wicket-keeping duties for the remainder of the match. Dhruv Jurel will assume the role of wicketkeeper. Despite his injury, Rishabh Pant has joined the team on and will be available to bat as per team requirements."

That has been posted on social media by the BCCI. Obviously it doesn't confirm the extent of the injury, but it's surprising to hear Pant could bat. No runners, remember.

Very different conditions. It’s seriously hooping out there. Maybe even too much and these two aren’t even good enough to edge it.

Especially as he'll be 38 by the time of the next Ashes over here.

Well I gave India the day yesterday and they've won the first hour too.

England really need to make inroads before lunch to get back to parity.

Nice to see Carse carry on where he left off yesterday with a rank wide long-hop. ****ing awful. After such a good start from Archer it’s been all India since, not cashed in on these favourable conditions at all.
