I would guess that it's not so much supporting India as it is wanting to see England lose (and they just happen to be playing against India).

I do this all the time in plenty things I watch. I didn't want the Edmonton Oilers to win the Stanley Cup, but I wanted the Florida Panthers to lose.

I think it’s the other way round, Cummins should have sat more games out. Picking him in all 5 tests of the 2023 Ashes was a big mistake.

NZ won in England in 2021, SL in 2014, SA in 2012. India hasn't won there since 2007. I guess foe mediocre teams it has been longer.
