Cummins and Starc bowl with Lyon, Hazlewood and Boland. Rabada bowls with Maharaj, Jansen, Ngidi, Nortje, Paterson, Coetzee etc. Bumrah is one man bowling attack often.

well that's dissapointing, I believe the deck has been batting friendly but we should've gotten a result on this..

There is no reason not to play 90 overs a day if the weather allows it.

They managed to play 192 overs 2 hours up the road in CLS in the first 2 days and was as much rain the in the North East if not more than Leeds.
You can definitely play more overs if time allows it. The idea that the hours of play should be altered on the basis of weather forecasts is silly.

The last two WTC finals have started at 10:30 and they start later rounds of the CC at 10:30.

We've just had the summer solstice at the weekend so the best light we get all year in the UK.

They will happily take players off for light but when we could actually get more overs played in perfect light we don't want to.

It's maddingly stupid and we complain about participation in this country. When every year we play less cricket than we could cos of rules and regulations.

I think it’s the other way round, Cummins should have sat more games out. Picking him in all 5 tests of the 2023 Ashes was a big mistake.
He's our captain and a clutch player. We're not resting him. Getting Cam Green back bowling or playing Neser to spread the workload maybe a better way of managing him.

I reckon they're starting this match later due to the Indian TV audience, which sucks but it's how the world works these day.

I am all for scheduling more hours to a days play, especially when you know there is rain around and that you'll have enough natural light to support it. If we can have 4 day Tests then we can have Tests with 9 hours a day rather than just 7.

Let's be realistic. There's no Gambhiring but India are not going to defend this total with just one strike bowler who'll bowl 20 overs at most.

The odds should be heavily stacked in England's favour

Nah, can't pin this one on India. Tests always start at 11am in England, allows plenty of travel time for those getting to the ground. Very rare it's anything different (FC games start at 10.30am in April and September).
