Billings is all class - quality player. Big call, but I think he's going to be one of the top all-format batsman this decade

EDIT : Definitely didn't think he was 29! Surprised to see he's got to that age and had such limited exposure at international level (playing as a batsman)

That last ball proved that Billings doesn't care at all about average. WAG!

Haze for MotM imo, though I am a big fan of today's knock from Maxiboi but he didn't finish the job

Whatever it takes!!!
Well done Australia. Maxi and Marsh doing the business for them. Maxi for MotM.

And England did well too, should not lose too much hope. Juz gotta rethink Moeen's role. And get Root to bowl.

I still get the feeling had Archer done better than those 2 or 3 dots off Cummins in the 47th, game might well have changed.

Good knock from Billings 118 off 110. England dug themselves into a huge hole early on and didn’t recover. He still played very well. 105 off 10 overs was a giant ask all things considered in the match

Can someone explain to me why Joe root is even considered in the short form of the game when he is clearly a innings builder, stay in kind of batter, when was the last time he was swinging at sixies?!! It just annoys me!

cos tons of times you need a platform so that the other people can hit out.

he's in bad nick this summer and if this continues that will be a huge problem for england. but having one or two of that kind of player in your 50-over team allows yer Buttlers, Roys and Bairstows to play with abandon.

They had pretty much reached recovery at the point Bairstow got out but it was only ever a couple of wickets away from being done.

Starc managed to fire it in pretty fiercely at the death despite the groin injury. Was pretty impressed with that.

How tf did Hazlewood get those figures? Nobody goes for under 3 in this day and age.

Seriously underrated bowler in ODIs.

I didn’t see much of this, but I’m very surprised any team winning the toss is going to choose to chase under lights in autumn. The Australian new ball bowlers are tough enough to play in any conditions.
