****Official Australia in England 2020 (Non-Ashes)*****

Whatever it takes!!!
Carey's WC was a fluke just because he did it mostly batting at 7 and consistent success never happens there, except for MSD and Jos, two absolute freaks (who then quickly moved up). that's no insult to Carey, he just had a unique, great run at number 7

Working out if Carey can stick at 5 or 6 is still the way we should go for the next year.
Yeah Carey is not the guy for T20 but for ODIs, I would persist with him.

Respect for Bairstow. Fighting knock on a tricky surface against a good attack. Not a bad LO player methinks

His ODI record is genuinely pretty ridiculous at this stage.
Oh for sure. You just don't average that high at better than run a ball. And those aren't soft runs either since he's opening. Ridiculous conversion rate also. I really rate him.

Against most sides Moeen coming in here wouldn't be bad. Inconsistent but capable of scoring a match changing knock. Against Australia it would be a near miracle.

I think that was a bad calculated risk from Bairstow given the long boundary and wind. A good knock but he’ll regret that shot I think. Especially given he spanked Starc into the stands the previous over. The risk didn’t need to be against Zampa. Now Ali is gone that is game over for England I think. Too big a hole to get out of considering the RRR from this many deliveries. I don’t think England have the firepower left to get there now. Or at least it would take something really special now

Why is Mo so ****ing mentally blocked against Australia. Has basically done nothing against them ever. Get out.

I ask again what does Ali have to do to get dropped. No wickets expensive hardly a run and slow in the field

Billings threatening to make PEWS look silly and finally come good. Will probably fall short though.

Man, I wish I had the chutzpah I did after that last test when I made my Crawley prediction. In many ways, I feel about Billings in LO cricket the way I felt about Crawley for tests. You just gotta trust the kid.
