I'm at work and can't watch, Wagner is getting the pound. Is he blowing the same old short pitched fingers crossed they get a top edge approach? That is fine in the right conditions, if the pitch is flat and there aren't many runs in the bank, it's dangerous. Going at 5's isn't good enough.

Seems like the Saffers have swung the game in an hours of batting.

He did extract a couple of top edged pulls/hooks, but in both cases the ball flew with the wind over the boundary. You might think that if they were planning the short pitched attack they'd take into account the way the wind is blowing, though admittedly it does make it difficult that SA have a LH/RH combination.

Hate when they show pitch maps that don't differentiate between LH & RH batsmen, LH & RH bowlers, over and around the wicket.

It nice to go and fall asleep for 2h and wake up to the same 2 batsmen still in... (when your team is batting obviously :) )

I know Bavuma is one of the most loved cricketers on CW but he is now averaging 30 after 18 test matches without a test hundred in over a year. At what point do we actually have a look at Bavuma the test batsman and not the cuddly teddy bear?
Yeah you're welcome Saffers

Amla is in some **** form right now. Getting close to the end, surely?
Something seems wrong with his balance... he looks good and the falls over suddenly and hits the ball in the air.

Is Bavuma the anti-downhill skier? Can`t score runs when his team is well on top, only scores when team in trouble? But he does need to convert this innings....

Jeez this is a good fightback.
It is in the sense that SA were under a lot of pressure, but the Basin invariably flattens out into a paradise for batting by lunch of day 2. Conditions really are very easy out there, but fair play to these two for not making any mistakes (unlike NZ who threw away a strong position yesterday evening).
