Australia has ageing players - Watto, Clarke, Haddin and Johnson. Another decline waits for them after this tournament. India is only good at bullying and rigging matches.

Do you legit believe that the B'desh-India match was rigged?

Maxwell is the most overrated ODI player currently.
He's a previously mediocre batsman who's having a phenomenal world cup, so statements like this are going to be made.

No matter what way you look at it, though, an average of 75 @ a SR of 183 (!) is an incredible return.

Yea, I'm not denying that he's having a good World Cup so far.

On a different note, which really good team has Australia beaten in this WC? The only one they faced was NZ where they lost. The other wins have come against useless ODI teams like England, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka (useless in Australian condition). India has at least beaten SA.

There is no sense in which Maxwell is popularly overrated. A vast portion of people think he's a complete hack, and CW vs popular opinion don't diverge that much on the matter.

You must be kidding. Perhaps i feel he is a less consistent sangakkara against us but there is always that feeling of dread that he is going to clobber the **** out of our bowling. Quite like another Symonds :p

He is a special talent. And no i don't mean anything ordinary like shahid afridi

HE ASKED, ON A DIFFERENT NOTE, WHICH REALLY GOOD TEAM HAS AUSTRALIA BEATEN IN THIS WC? THE ONLY ONE THEY FACED WAS NZ WHERE THEY LOST. THE OTHER WINS HAVE COME AGAINST USELESS ODI TEAMS LIKE ENGLAND, PAKISTAN, BANGLADESH, SRI LANKA (USELESS IN AUSTRALIAN CONDITION). INDIA HAS AT LEAST BEATEN SA.

Maxwell is a poor man's Kieron Pollard or Dwayne Bravo at best.
by the end of his career maxwell will have far overtaken these WIndians.

The indian bowling has been pretty good all through this tournament but with his tail up now I can see Maxwell becoming the first real challenge to the indian bowling

Australia v India: ICC dispatch head pitch inspector to examine SCG surface ahead of semi-final

Was thinking will be good to get 30-40 % of supporter on our side in the stadium ,but according to the report it looks it will be close to 70% :)

Regardless of the pitch, Australia are bracing for Thursday’s semi to feel somewhat like an away game.
More than 70 per cent of the sold out crowd are expected to be Indian supporters.
People keep saying this, but it seriously won't happen. I was at the Aus-SL game and the SL supporters were loud and great, but they were nowhere near the majority. It'll be a great atmosphere though.

SL generally rock and roll australia in an odi at the scg on every tour.

And might you not ask the same of India? They played SA but otherwise had Pakistan, WI, Bangladesh etc didn't they?

Suppose it's just the nature of the WC that there are a lot of matches against sides the bigger teams are expected to beat.

Just hope it is not like the 2003 WC. Hard to think of any result other than an Aussie win. We will need to bat first and score 300+ to even dream of a win here.

Is anyone apart from Jono going to this game? Might be up for a beer if any CWers are out at the ground.
