This leaves the door wide open now for Pak and WI now doesn't it?
If Pakistan wins tommorow vs UAE and Ireland does not upset ndia then Pakistan-Ire becomes virtual QF. Windies beinifits the most they are possibly through after this Ireland mauling unless India destroys them which I think is unlikely at Perth.

Just asking to be out tbh. Last over this new player almost gave a catch two balls for instance. Play your shots but right now they are playing way too many.
to chase down 400 you gotta test your luck and it's usually not gonna come off. I'd rather this than them meekly piddle to 250 for the sake of NRR,

Ireland displaying dat chasing ability and nous again. Yeah, they really should have bowled first if they had won the toss.

Behardien has to play for balance even when Philander comes back. Abbott or Tahir will make way depending upon opposition and pitch.

Behardien looks a better option than Parnell.. Parnell might have a better bowling record but pace off the ball is likelier to be more economical in this WC.

If ever there was an opposition and pitch which indicated that Tahir should be dropped it was India at Melbourne. There was a pre-match talk that Tahir would be dropped but at the end they did stick with him (which was the right decision). I don't see Tahir being dropped in any of the future games.

And then have little chance of qualifying and be completely demoralised? Sure.
Obviously once the top order falls as they have the rest should just look to bat out the remainder, but it's stupid to criticise the top order for having an honest go first. Nothing worse than not playing to win from the outset.

Play sensibly and try and qualify for the quarters seemed a much better option than try to make 400 plus..

Faf getting to bowl in the last game and Rossouw now, hope this is an indication that Behardien would be dropped once Duminy is fit to play.

They are tried to see if they are any good, which they aren't. Depending on Duminy's bowling would be too much of a risk. He and Behardien can fill the 5th bowlers quota fine together.

Times like this it is worth experimenting, helps Ireland too as it is letting them get a score that looked unlikely an hour or so ago.
