Hmm thats a touchy one pretty much every team does a bit of sledging and banning it could just cause more trouble. You could argue it's a part of the game.
- Add more technology to cricket (appeal system)
- Ban sledging
- Make all Test series a minimum of four Tests
- Mandatory two or three warm up games (3 days each) before the first Test
- Get rid of the coin toss (visiting team always chooses what to do)
- Get rid of the front-foot no ball, or use technology for it

It's putting players on other teams off usually with insults isn't it?First, you would have to define what sledging is, and that is next to impossible.
Just because something is a part of the game, doesn't mean it should be.Hmm thats a touchy one pretty much every team does a bit of sledging and banning it could just cause more trouble. You could argue it's a part of the game.
Insults. The umpire would be the judge of that, or the match referee after reviewing stump mics.First, you would have to define what sledging is, and that is next to impossible.
Disagree with that, think we might finally have hit upon a decent Champions Trophy with the last one and with any look we might see it go from strength to strength from now on.Scrap the ICC Champions Trophy
Yes but the main thrust of my administration would be a reduction in the amount of cricket being played and I feel that it serves no real purpose. Perhaps the World Cup should adopt the format of the Champions Trophy? thus there would be a reduction in the amount of tournaments and also games in the major tournament, which we all agree surely was far too long.Disagree with that, think we might finally have hit upon a decent Champions Trophy with the last one and with any look we might see it go from strength to strength from now on.
I have no sympathy with the amount of cricket that is played, but I agree there is far too much meaningless rubbish going on.Yes but the main thrust of my administration would be a reduction in the amount of cricket being played and I feel that it serves no real purpose. What I want is less, more meaningful cricket.I personally am tired of pointless ODI matches and series which only exist to maximise the amount of money gained.
Yeah it's just a cheap version of the world cup.Scrap the ICC Champions Trophy
Basically I would ttry to kill Test status in order to save test cricket...1.Make it illegal for any country to qualify for any tournament in one format based on their status or achievement in any other format of the game. eg qualification for One day tournaments based on achievement in Multi-day cricket and vice versa
2.Replace the current Executive comitee (the one all the test nation have permanent seats on with an body of 15 elected officials from each of the continental cricket associations.
3. Make it a requirement that all ICC events no matter who is competing get coverage on mainstream media.
4.Scrap the Champions trophy cos it violates my first rule change
5. Recognise the right of all ICC members, Associates and Affiliates to organise play officially sanctioned 5 day Tests.
6. Expand the Current Test championship to include all nations reasonably capable of holding 5 day matches (qualification through achievement in FC cricket off course)
I$C$C will never have the power to do that. You'd need to organise a coup at every newspaper that covers cricket if you wanted that.Make it a requirement that all ICC events no matter who is competing get coverage on mainstream media.
Why would you dive in to save a man that isn't drowning?Basically I would ttry to kill Test status in order to save test cricket...
The Champions Trophy has the potential to be a very-much-not-meaningless ODI tournament. In fact, it has the potential to make ODI cricket more meaningful than ever, if I$C$C insist on not making the World Cup a biennial event.Yes but the main thrust of my administration would be a reduction in the amount of cricket being played and I feel that it serves no real purpose. Because he had a heart attack whilst swimming. Why would you dive in to save a man that isn't drowning?
Why would the boards (who comprise the ICC) agree to this though?Because he had a heart attack whilst swimming.
If I were a member of the ICC, I would ensure total control over the dealings of national boards which have international consequences. For example, I would ensure that the IPL was under the almost monarch-esque (high power, no responsibility) structure where boundaries could be enforced such as no conflict with the FTP and limits of pay and wages to be below those of international cricket. I would also ensure on subservience to national boards. For example, the BCCI can partially control the ICC's 'hand' by threatening a pull out of Australia. However, if the ICC could ensure that the BCCI was a subsidiary of the ICC, it could perhaps have more power on national boards. As an extention of this idea, I would have ICC officials working in all major national boards.
