Yeah maybe we can all have a say about Razzaqs bowling, but u have to understand why he didnt bowl before the spinners, the fast bowlers were getting hamered and razzaq needed some practice after coming back from a break, and unfortunetly for him there wasnt any suitable time.

So should he really have been selected then?

If he needed bowling practise that suggests he as picked as a specialist batsman.

One game that most of people like me follow and I can't even see some fight .... And now say that Fraz is taking things over-board. Me and Sarfraz have almost the same views most of the times .....

Yes maybe against medium and medium fast bowlers but against world class bowlers his batting is always going to look suspect.The key is not to give him length balls and if you can do that you severly limit his game.He is a blocker or a boundary hitter.

He's done some serious hitting against some of the best. I think you're seriously under rating Razzaq.

Can't see what there is to complain about Razzaq's recent form with the bat.

Hes about as consistent as a big hitter can be at this level, and I'd only place him below Symonds in that regard. He also scores many of his runs in crucial situations, and he'd be one of the first guys I'd depend on in a tight run chase.

Hes always been quite consitent with the ball without ever being that spectacular. Yeah, I'll admit he doesn't seem to be what he used to be, but I think the overall package is more than adequate to be selected for Pakistan.

Just to talk about another subject what are people's opinions of Afridi's role in the team?.His bowling is quite good but his batting is so inconsistent and he hasn't found a correct number in the batting order due to this.Is his batting becoming a huge concern as sometimes Pakistan require patience or maybe a longer innings from him but he can't seem to do this.

Afridi in the ODI team is more of a bowler who can bat. This last outing against SA showed that, and he was easily the best bowler on show. Of course his batting can be inconsistent, but I think right now he is making up for it with his bowling. Obviously you bring in Afridi when you need quick runs, I don't think hes been asked to play much of a different role and considering that I don't think his inconsistency with the bat is all that unexpected.

it is just a beat in all department for the pakistani team. i think they should include razzaq in the team and use him as opening bowler with asif. razzaq has the years of exprince that would might help him in opening bowling position. as far as the team goes hafeez, kamran akmal, sami should be droped for imrani nazir, hairder, rahman. afridi bowled well. he was the only one who actuly bothered Sa batsmans.

I read a statement by Pak journalist Osman Samiuddon on Cricinfo in which he has adviced PCB to skip World cup cricket alltogeather!!!

regardless of how poor or good this Pak one day team is, one must not overlook at the main reason this side did terribly poor today, i.e by putting up a shameful indicipline bowling performance. Rana Naveed was a real laugh in the match, at time he struggled to deliver a "legal bowl", interestinly this was the same bowler was was "man of series" in last OD series when Waqar Younis was the bowling coach.

The sacking of Waqar as the bowling coach was the most stupid act by PCB, the pacers are now struggling and need coaching yet noone is there to help them.Brining in Rao Ifti and Azhar Mahmood is not the solution, Pak won't be fielding those in WC, getting the best out of the present batch of bowlers is something Pak should look at.I would say that they should get back Waqar as the coach or get Akram to coach them till the end of the cup.

Excellent performance by South Africa, good to see AB de Villiers back in some sort of form. Loots Bosman, absolutely terrible. What does it take for other guys to get a chance? Bring back Boeta Dippenaar I say.

I agree with u. after the third test lost i said that in one of my post that since waqar has been replaced by mushtaq the fast bowling of pakistan decline big time. the way pcb treated waqar younis i don't think he is going to accept this job again neither would wasim. i think the whole board members should be replaced.

You see when players like azhar mahmood had been left out without any reason is one of the reasons why i hate PCB soo much. Its a brilliant news. Now if azhar performs with the ball and has the same striking power as i saw him last time then i can easily see alot of competition in place for where Razzaq and Afridi play. I always thought Azhar was a fighting cricketer, and u always need these sort of cricketers in your team.
