On the "flogging a deceased equine quadroped" front: I have vague memories of a few posters last year suggesting that Dhoni was comparable to or even better than Prior because he was the better keeper in Indian conditions.

Wonder if anyone still believes this.

it must be gratifying to see their team win on a spinning track and that too against the best players of spin in the world
who?
laxman is gone, dravid is gone. sachin is finished. yuvraj sucks against spinners.
so clearly not best players of spin anymore...

What an amazing test match... Loved every bit of it..perhaps the most in the past 1 year.. Love it when a lot of myths get shattered in such a powerful way!!

Kevin Pietersen cannot play left arm spin bowling
Kevin Pietersen cannot play in the subcontinent
Indian spinners Ashwin and Ojha are great.

Hail sublime KP..the best batsman in the world today

He was particularly bad in this game and Prior who we all accept isn't a great gloveman was comfortably the better of the two.

Seeing as the only English batsman in history with more hundreds in subcontinent is Cook then that is bollards.

Well played England. Congratz to all the fans.

A bit unexpected like the Udal test victory, which was again on a somewhat similar wicket at Mumbai.

LOL I know!! I always found that to be rubbish too because Pietersen has smashed the greatest spinner in the world to all parts of the park..anyone who can do that..surely cannot have some inexplicable problem facing them in the subcontinent...but I am glad KP now has the stats to back that up!!

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta
