Good side Nuf, by the way I was only joking around with the McGrath thing, I just find it amusing that he's worshipped here on CW and we forgot all about him.

I think it was Gideon Haigh who called him "the most unexceptional exceptional bowler of all time". Devastingly simple MO but he was good enough to employ it to, well, devasting effect.

Number 35 I think, still a few batsmen averaging over 40 and bowlers in mid 20's to be had.

Since I see we've been including South Africans who never played much or any test cricket, I figured I'd throw in an associate player...

Alan Rae
Geoff Pullar (edited later, originally Jeff Stollmeyer who I learn was taken)
Eric Rowan
Saeed Ahmed
Ross Taylor
Steve Tikolo
Jock Cameron *
Dion Nash

George Hirst failing to make it into any of the top 35 teams is some sort of scandalous.

Loving this thread btw. I wonder how far it'll get taken.

Ditto. Charlie Davis and Gus Fraser also slipped through the cracks so a good pick-up by stumpski...
