I still don't see what Kallis has to do to be recognized as one of the greats. He averages more than Tendulkar with the bat in Tests (57 I think). Add to that his bowling ability and you have arguably one of the greatest player of al time. Yet he still can't get in the top 10 middle order bats here. Why is it that more flamboyant players like Lara get recognised as a lot better. In my view cricket is about results not style and you can't argue with Kallis'.

It's like with the England test team. They don't have any mystery spinners, lightning quick bowlers, 2 of their best batsmen (Cook and Trott aren't exactly flamboyant and frankly they are a rather boring team. They try to build up pressure in the field with dot balls and try to bat once. Yet they are number 1 Test team.
