Yo *****!, buckle your seat belts and get ready for some Kirkut FIRE!!!!!!!!

My strokes breathe fire like Sehwag, and my deliveries spit lava like Waqar.

Just signed up!

Live in England and have played cricket (never successfully) all my life. Looking forward to interacting with some like minded people. Got tickets to first Ashes match this year at Trent Bridge, can't wait for that - although it's a bit of a shame, they then play it in Australia about two months later!

that'd be burgey, he was instrumental in the change from curved bats to the straight ones which are used today too

Don't forget Burgey has also seen WG Grace in action.

Not one for joining any old forum, so please be nice.

Thoughts about which I'll verbally spew out in the forthcoming:

Sir Geoffrey of Boycott, The Cricket Paper, Lord Blowers, Mike Simkins, collecting Wisdens, John (not Jonathan) Agnew .............and a whole other plethora of bile in which to razzle and dazzle.

Nice one.
Pity we haven't heard from this chap since ... there's still time though.

Actually its one of the nick names for Babe Ruth. I'm not a huge baseball fan but enjoy its history which, like cricket's, is a very interesting read. Anyway I loved the name the big bambino so i stole it for here.

Hi Fellow cricket fans, thought I'd drop by and introduce myself having finally gotten around to checking this place out.

I'm an English cricket fanatic who has lived in Oz for nearly 20 years, an Aussie now in a lot of ways but when it comes to sport........never!! The highlight of my cricket watching life was being at the MCG for day 4 and watching England retain the Ashes.......up there with the birth of my children

Anyways, looking forward to hanging around and getting to know some of you and chatting about this great game which is somewhat of an obsession of mine.

You lost me there - if you had've said superior to the birth of my children I would have given you a warm welcome.

Just kidding. Welcome - A pom that calls Aussie home. Don't have many of them around here...with apologies to PEWS.

Surely you haven't thrown the towel in already Uvo??? I understand that your expectations are probably shattered.....but 10-0, seriously??

You can count on the English weather to gift you at least 1 draw, and in the return series surely your boys can pick up one of the tests??

I'm hoping for 8-1
