Yuvraj out of Australia ODI

One of India’s key middle order batsmen Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out of their clash with Australia after injuring his left knee during practice.

Yuvraj suffered a cruciate ligament injury while playing a traditional Indian game known as ko-kho. The injury was confirmed following scans at a local hospital close to India’s training ground at the Punjab Cricket Academy.

Yuvraj joins Ajit Agarkar on the injured list. Agarkar has a fractured thumb and has been replaced in the Indian squad by Sreesanth who averages 34.38 from the 19 one-day internationals.
