Vettori to captain Black Caps

Daniel Vettori will captain the Black Caps in the first two one-day internationals against Sri Lanka with Stephen Fleming being rested.

Shane Bond will also miss the first two one-dayers to attend a reconditioning programme.

There is good news for the Marshall brothers with both Hamish and James returning to the one-day squad along with Andre Adams and Michael Mason while Mark Gillespie could make his ODI debut after not playing during the Champions Trophy in October.

Jacob Oram, Kyle Mills and Scott Styris were not considered because of injury.

The first one-day game is in Napier on 28th December with the second in Queenstown on 31st December.
