Shane and Simone split

Shane Warne and wife Simone are to separate the couple have announced.

Shane Warne’s brother and manager released the following joint statement on behalf of the couple “It is with regret that we inform you that we have decided to separate. We remain best of friends and we will both continue to be there for our three beautiful children.”

Warne has been given a two week break leading up to the Ashes series and will miss Hampshire’s remaining Twenty20 Cup group matches. In the County Championship so far this season Warne has taken 37 wickets at 22.75.
