NZ Academy Team Named

A New Zealand Academy team has been announced to play a series of Twenty/20, one-day matches and three-day matches at Brisbane in July.

The academy will contest a series between the Australian Institute of Sport and an Indian Academy team.

Jacob Oram returns from injury to captain the team while Shane Bond continues his progress towards returning to the Black Caps and is named within the squad.

A number of experienced first-class players have been named within the squad along with up and coming teenagers Todd Astle, Te Ahu Davis and Derek De Boorder.

The full squad is as follows:

The team leave for Brisbane on the 27th of June and play their first match on July 4th.
