McMillan heading overseas?

Former Black Caps coach Steve Rixon has come out in support of Craig McMillan saying it would be “a tragedy” if he was lost to New Zealand cricket.

As we reported yesterday, McMillan missed out on a contact from New Zealand Cricket and is considering turning down his inclusion in the New Zealand ‘A’ squad to tour Australia.

McMillan is now thought to be considering overseas offers to further his cricketing career.

Steve Rixon who has watched McMillan play in England for the past two years and coached him with the Black Caps from 1996 to 1999 has said he’s convinced he still has plenty to offer and his best years are still ahead of him.

McMillan averages 38.46 from 55 Test matches and 27.47 from 175 one-day internationals.
