King resigns as WIndies coach

Bennett King has resigned as West Indies coach following their disappointing World Cup campaign with assistant David Moore expected to take over for the upcoming England tour.

West Indies Cricket Board director Jackie Hendriks told media sources that “King gave up his job as coach. He has offered to stay on for a month to help with the setting up of the academy.”

King had been in the charge of the West Indies since 2004 after taking over from Gus Logie and continues the run of international coaches resigning with the list now England’s Duncan Fletcher, India’s Greg Chappell and Bangladesh’s Dave Whatmore.
