Former Irish chairman Bob Kerr dies

Former Irish Cricket Union chairman Bob Kerr passed away in Jamaica on Thursday after suffering a heart attack at 4am at the hotel he was staying at.

Kerr was 68 years of age, and was one of the most respected officials in Irish cricket.

Ireland team manager Roy Torrens told news service Reuters that the “the details are a bit vague at the moment because he was staying with supporters in Ocho Rios.”

Torrens went onto say that “we have reason to believe that he had a heart attack at 4am. We believe he died on the scene at the hotel.”
