Flintoff’s injury worries go on

Andrew Flintoff’s left ankle injury is continuing to cause his trouble placing him in severe doubt for the first Test against Pakistan starting on 13th July.

Flintoff suffered a bone spur problem in his left ankle that forced him to miss the whole of the current Sri Lanka ODI series.

Flintoff is undergoing strength tests on his ankle along with a lot of cycling to keep his fitness up and has told media that he’s having no adverse effects to his recovery programme.

His ankle will be looked at again by specialists in two weeks to assess his availability for the first Test against Pakistan at Lord’s.
