Black Caps hit by virus

The Black Caps have been hit by a virus on the eve of the Twenty20 World Cup with Brendon McCullum and Mark Gillespie being worst hit.

McCullum and Gillespie both missed training on Saturday with McCullum bed ridden and being placed on a drip, while Gillespie vomited during practice and returned to the hotel.

Both players are likely to miss New Zealand’s warm-up matches with coach John Bracewell saying “Peter Fulton will move up the order and open, a position he successfully held during the World Cup in the Caribbean. It will be a good opportunity for him to get some game time.”
