Aussies at full strength

Australia have a full strength squad to choose from ahead of their Champions Trophy semi-final against New Zealand, with injury doubts Shane Watson and Michael Clarke both being passed fit.

Watson had suffered a severe gastritis attack before the game against India, as well as suffering leg cramps during his innings, but has made a full recovery. Clarke was also under the weather before the India clash, with a bout of tonsilitis, but he came through that game and should get through the semi-final as well. The news is not as good for the Kiwis however, with Scott Styris unlikely to shake off a back injury.

Ricky Ponting is full of confidence heading into the game.

Speaking to Fox Sports News, he said ,”There is no excuses now for us. We’ve got a good team, we’ve got a full list of guys to pick from and we’re playing a semi-final at a venue that we’ve just played a game in.Hopefully we can take one step further than we did last time around. We probably can’t complain with the way things have worked out for us.”
