Asif and Naved head to England

Pakistan fast bowlers Naved-ul-Hasan and Mohammad Asif have overcome their injuries and are heading to England for the fourth Test at The Oval in London.

Naved was ruled out of the tour initially with a groin problem, while Asif returned home before the first Test with an elbow injury.

Both are available for selection for the fourth Test, and if they make it onto the field, it will greatly assist Pakistan’s chances of coming away with a moral boosting victory ahead of the five match one-day international series that follows.

Team management announced that a squad for the one-day series will not be released with some players just being sent home after the Test series.
