Akhtar injury concerns

Shoaib Akhtar has given the Pakistan selectors more concern ahead of the tour of England after twisting his ankle during a conditioning camp.

Shoaib has been advised by medical staff to rest for the next few days, and will see a doctor within the next 24 to 48 hours to determine the seriousness of the injury.

Shoaib has been out of all cricket since February when he suffered a stress fracture to his ankle shortly before the ODI series against India.

With Pakistan’s tour of England only six weeks away, it will be hoped that the injury isn’t serious enough to rule him out of the tour.
