World Cup 2011 clouded by spot fixing?

Nah, just not completely ruling out the possibilities.
Well of course its a possibility. Don't see what relevance that particular story has though.

And why would they release this report and then withhold the information for 2/3 days? Why is there literally no mention of any of this anywhere?

India vs England
England vs West Indies
Australia vs Zimbabwe ( for their slow start )
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan

These games + 3 more are under scanner :D

Who says they are going to withhold the information for 2-3 days?

Refer to my post, Indian media loves sensationalism. Until they come up with something concrete this has to be just BS. As much as the OP says IBN is reputed I beg to differ, they are not that great I like NDTV more than IBN

The media loves a spicy story.Media from the subcontinent loves it more than your average media (minus England). This seems like a poor attempt to put pressure on rival teams IMO.

Let's hope this is just an understandable over-reaction to the trio of scum from Pakistan at Lord's last year.

Doesn't seem any more credible right now than the previous Australia-scored-slowly-against-Zimbabwe nonesense, or the "Warne fixed it over Twitter" grand moment of idiocy. Sounds like a vague rehashing for the sake of headlines.

This. Seriously, anyone who makes these baseless match-fixing allegations should have defamation cases filed against them. Only then they'll shut up.

Especially when you consider that both those games are included in the list.

This, it sounds as if, any exciting match or dramatic turnaround,or players not going at a run a ball, is now suddenly suspicious, if this continues it's going to be like the boy who cried wolf.

I just think it's so unlikely that Australian, English or Indian players would be involved in Spot Fixing/Match Fixing as these team's player cream in **** loads of money as it is. Why would you ever jeopardise your career for a tiny percentage of your annual earnings? Either that of the bookies organising the fixing would have to pay them a silly amount of money which would make the whole exercise pointless.

Most international cricketers earn a **** load of money. The subcontinent offers more money to Cricket than any other part of the world, but despite that,India and Pakistan have produced the most high profile matchfixing allegations over the years.(Azhar,Malik,Jadeja,Prabhakar, the recent pakistani trio etc)

It's not really about earning a **** load as it is.There's always the greed to earn more, which is human nature.I'm not defending match fixing, but the 'already earning a lot' argument is pretty naive TBH.
