Worst player to take a 5 wicket haul in Tests

AB's effort versus the Windies comes to mind. Sowed the seeds for Warne's career if nothing else.
Hardly the worst player. Would definitely think he'd be the worst bowler to have taken a ten wicket haul though. From what I've read (I was too young to watch AB), his spin was underrated and he himself did not utilize it enough.

Statistically it's actually this bloke, New Zealand's David O'Sullivan who has a test average of 68.00 per wicket. However his FC stats suggest he was a useful performer at that level.

Dilhara Fernando and Prabath Nissanka.. actually the latter is better than Fernando but injuries mean we cant compare much

Did Michael Bevan ever take a Michelle?

EDIT: Yep, 6/82 versus the Windies in '97. Was a 10WM performance as well. He was a terrible bowler - like Krejza but much less tight and reliable.

For him, and AB, I'm talking as a bowler, not as an overall player.

Maybe the years haven't been kind to my memory, but I always thought he bowled decently. Not outstanding, obviously, but more Boof-like (though Boof was better - and underrated (bowling of course)) in bowling ability.

First dig Bevan was spanked early but bowled very decently afterwards, cleaned up the tail. Second dig, he was quite good. The whole series he was reasonable. Still remember the ball he trapped Sherwin Campbell with up in Brisbane when WI almost batted out a draw. Was a top knock and took a great ball to get him.

Thereafter, when the pressure was put on him to actually bowl well, he was pretty ordinary.

His habit of completely failing to land the ball on the pitch, or else pitching it in his third of the pitch at least twice an over tended to relieve any pressure that he was building up.

Actually, I'm probably being a bit harsh on him. He had a season or two where he was in really good bowling form, but for years afterwards he completely lost it and yet was bowled at times. Cameron White is a much better wrist spinner than Bevo was.

AB didn't use himself as much as he should have, but he hardly bowled hand grenades, he just kept getting Gus Logie out, it was bizaare.

Bevan was all over the shop at times, i almost forgot about him, but he was streets ahead of white, he actually looked like getting wickets, and getting them with rippers, not just getting one off a long hop.

clarke is fairly innocuous, but that pitch was rabid.

williams and cook argument, hahaha, i think the cupboard was a bit bare when cook made his debut.

peter such anyone ?
