Not too many ATG 9s to compare with thoThe worst thing is that 9 wasn't even that good.
IDK we felt the same about Cook didn't we.5 years time Dave Warner will be in the top 3 of these lists, and maybe even the best if it was possible for a modern player to be as good as someone from back in the day.
Dare I say it, Warner's technique, both in attack and defence, is better than Cook'sIDK we felt the same about Cook didn't we.
Average 50 something I reckon, and with a SR superior to everyone else. I don't think that the SR will be an issue, just the consistency.By the times he reaches 100 tests, what would Warner need to have done to be considered our greatest LH opener/opener of all time?
We thought Cook would be one of Australia's top 3 left handed openers? ITSTL.IDK we felt the same about Cook didn't we.
Sorry, but Steyn has a much longer history of being consistently awesome with ATG average and one of the best sr in history. Warner is not comparable to steyn at all.Steyn's only 31, is the premier paceman of the era and is considered by a few on here as ATG XI material, yet Warner is well on top 1:1 vs Steyn.
Warners technique is so good now.
All I meant was that Steyn hasn't really troubled Warner at all. Opening bowler vs opening bat and Warner has been very successful v SteynSorry, but Steyn has a much longer history of being consistently awesome with ATG average and one of the best sr in history. Warner is not comparable to steyn at all.
edit: oh whoops, you meant warner vs steyn in actual matches? Still don't think you can rate ATG to how you faced against one person.
This is not exactly a controversial statement.Dare I say it, Warner's technique, both in attack and defence, is better than Cook's
