Mathews is in front of few of those. Definietly better than Jayasuriya and on par with Aravinda. Tamim Iqbal will likely end up somewhere there due to the strength of his away performances.

Arjuna Ranatunga is missing. On par with Aravinda, better than Ganguly. Miles ahead of his time with scoring rates. Gavaskar is higly quesionable. Mathews too may creep in.

I do like your views. But when you are saying Jayasuriya is not even close to Warner across formats, then you can't be accusing others of being partisan.
I was doing the "not even close" meme

Probably still true though

Sanath was one of the hackiest overrated hacks that ever hacked

In mid 2001 when Brian Lara was 32 years old, his average was below 50, it was 47.68 after 80 Tests. He had only scored 15 hundreds at that point in his career.

Lara was accused by some of not always taking the game seriously, or having his head screwed on properly. You'd think his technique wouldn't of held up the older he got. You wouldn't of been re-missed to think that his best days were behind him at that point.

Lara then went onto a huge run, scored 19 hundreds in his final 50 Tests. Averaged over 60 in that period.

Kohli is 33 years old. It'd be naïve to think Kohli couldn't rise again in a similar vein.
I mean, I'd love for this to be true. And I do actually think Kohli will remember how to bat again. But "Brian Lara did it therefore he can too" isn't filling me with much confidence.

Depends on the context in which he's among them. If it's in an Uber, he'll probably insist on sitting in the front.

Yeah, Younis khan (4 centuries in SENA) is better than Kohli (11 centuries in SENA).

Ye he definitely needs to do a lot to get into the Dravid, Sanga league but lol at YK.

YK dunks on Kohli in NZ and England whilst it's the other way around in Australia and SA. Not his fault he only got to play 2-3 match series scattered over years. Much more well rounded player.

Anwar, Aravinda >>> Ganguly

Ajay Jadeja, Gavaskar, Azhar, Gambhir, Dhawan.. Etc >> Dravid

Disagree on almost all counts
Anwar and Aravinda were capable of winning matches single handedly.. Ganguly was just a consistent support Act for Tendulkar. If there is a big total to chase, and Tendulkar out early means Game over for India. ( this changed only after the emergence of Yuvi and Viru )

Dravid was too slow.. And boosted avg and SR by scoring heavily and faster in easy big scoring matches. Always been the worst established specialist batsman in the team for the entire career ( not counting batsmen like Kaif, VVS, Ramesh.. Etc )

Kohli should end up in the third tier, but I’m not sure if he can end up in the second tier.

I’m not even sure he can end up in that 4th tier, the rate he’s fast hurtling down at.
